Nancy Lavigne Obituary

San Juan Capistrano, CA - Nancy Lavigne of San Juan Capistrano, California, formerly of Portland, Maine, passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 11. She was born in Boston on November 30, 1951, and grew up in Needham, Massachusetts, the beloved firstborn of John and Dorothea Bokron. Raised in an extended, close-knit Greek and Irish family, she was an adoring older sister to Jack Bokron (predeceased) and Diana Bokron.

While living in Maine, Nancy met the love of her life, Jeff Lavigne. They shared a devoted marriage filled with love, laughter, and treasured memories and were looking forward to celebrating 39 years together this January.

Nancy graduated from Colby-Sawyer College and Wheaton College and enjoyed a successful career as a realtor with Coldwell Banker and Berkshire Hathaway for over 30 years. Vibrant, funny, and generous, she was a cherished wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She believed strongly in organ donation and her many gifts have benefitted several recipients.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jeff Lavigne; her sister, Diana Bokron and her husband Stephen Cini and their son John Cini; her sister-in-law, Jayne Lavigne and her partner Franklin Allen Jr.; and many beloved cousins from coast to coast.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's name to Camino Health Center or St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church, both of San Juan Capistrano, California.

Nancy's warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
